Office unit reports lower sales of A3 MFPs, as well as order backlog, but improvement for Professional Print business.
Results said to reflect stronger sales, plus absence of prior period’s impairment loss.
Although sales were significantly affected by the unsettled situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic profit significantly exceeded pre-COVID 2019 profits.
Revenue declines are never good, but it is possible to see Xerox improving, with a lot resting on two things: Xerox clearing its order backlog with supply restrictions easing, and workers returning to the office this year, two things that are likely to occur.
Xerox today reported results for its fourth quarter, and complete fiscal year, with fourth-quarter revenue down, and full-year revenue flat.

“How Work Works Now” campaign promotes Brother’s Partner Program, which is designed to recruit document-imaging equipment dealers for its A4-focused printer and MFP line, highlighting A4 over A3 advantages.
The beginning of this new year has seen a number of acquisitions, including the most common, document-imaging dealers acquiring other document-imaging dealers.
For now, Easy Ink appears only available in the Phillippines and India.
Back in the heyday of office print, about the mid-1990s, consolidation may have offered advantages when office print was much stronger, but may not today, as companies continue to seek to diversify.
