Test Results and Observations

During our hands-on testing of the Brother MFC-J6925dw, we evaluated all aspects of performance, from installation and set-up, to image quality, productivity, and ease-of-use and maintenance.

Feature Set
The Brother MFC-J6925dw is a rarity in the world of desktop printers as it is one of the two “true” large-format inkjet AiOs that we are aware of. However, it adds additional value to the genre with its document feeder with single-pass duplex scanning, fleet management capabilities and the ability to provide local user authentication along with function lock and user quotas. This, along with the industry’s lowest Cost Per Page for a non-CISS equipped inkjet printer, and a highly competitive feature set makes it more than suitable as a singular printer/All-in-One solution for any home use well as micro- to small workgroups in offices and companies that do not require the high level of security provided by network user authentication. An MFC-J6920dw base model is available for $299.99 and only lacks duplex scanning capability.

Image Quality

Colors and orientations were produced accurately down to 3 line pairs/mm. Print resolution was competitive with that of other recently tested color printers, both toner- and ink-based.
