Canon filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Static Control in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina on February 28th, alleging that Static Control’s replacement toner cartridges and imaging drums designed for use in Canon and HP laser printers infringe on Canon’s patents.

In the United States, the Association of American Publishers reported that e-book sales declined 18.7 percent over the first nine months of 2016, with paperback sales up 7.5 percent over the same period, and hardback sales up 4.1 percent.
Designed for micro and small business the new two printers are designed to fit “absolutely anywhere,” and will be available in April 2018. HP hasn’t released pricing yet, but has indicated that they will be it lowest-priced printers.
