HP extended its lead in the large-format digital printer market with nearly 35 percent of worldwide shipments in second-quarter 2018.
Last week, HP Inc. reported its third-quarter results, and HP Inc. executives also held an earnings-call conference, during which HP announced the retirement of a key executive, and also discussed HP’s A3 and MPS performance and strategy.

HP stated that its Printer group generated strong year-over-year revenue growth in hardware and supplies, particularly in these strategic areas: A3 copier/MFPs, graphic-arts printers, managed print services (MPS), and the HP Instant Ink program.
Epson enjoyed the largest year-over-year shipment growth, increasing 5.1 percent to more than 4.1 million units shipped.
