PrintReleaf Launches Major Update to Paper-Offset Program

PrintRelead recently announced that it’s launched the biggest update to its platform since the company was founded, following two years of development.
The company’s PrintReleaf software automatically measures, offsets, and certifies paper and fibre consumption through audited global reforestation and carbon offset projects.
How PrintReleaf Works
PrintReleaf software collects an enterprise’s paper consumption data via automated integrations or by streamlined manual monthly data transfers. It then analyzes this paper consumption to calculate how many trees were harvested and how much greenhouse gas was emitted for the paper consumed.
PrintReleaf (the company) automatically plants trees in certified global reforestation projects and/or offsets the carbon associated with the production of the fiber-based materials.
New PrintReleaf Features
New enhancements to PrintRelead include full project audit trails, expanded QR-based sharing, and increased visibility across carbon and certificate data, alongside a redesigned customer experience in the sustainability platform.
PrintReleaf said the release has rebuilt every dashboard screen from the ground up and added full verification and audit histories across all 20 of the organization’s active and completed reforestation projects, each independently verified against and adhering to the PrintReleaf Standard.
Customers can view project documentation, progress records, photos, and video tours directly through the platform, giving an ongoing record of activity across each project’s lifecycle.
The release has also expanded PrintReleaf’s QR-based impact sharing, the company said. All commercial print and packaging customers can now create and manage their own PrintReleaf QR codes directly from their dashboard, without routing requests through a channel partner.
Meanwhile, managed print services customers will be able to gain QR code access for the first time, linking recipients directly to the organisation’s PrintReleaf profile or Lifetime Impact Certificate.
Carbon offset features are now visible across all account types, and certificates and supporting documentation live together in one central location, PrintReleaf said.
Customers can now also select preferred reforestation projects based on their environmental characteristics, targets, and associated U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.
Jordan Darragh, founder and CEO of PrintReleaf, explained, “Every reforestation project now carries its own audit trail, and our partners can put that directly in front of their own clients and stakeholders. That’s the outcome I care about most: seeing the people we work with experience the full value of their impact.”
The update has also introduced a redesigned sign-in, onboarding and account-switching experience, along with a new order flow which the company said was built to reduce friction for channel partners deploying PrintReleaf across multiple clients.
For commercial printers, packaging businesses, and MPS providers, PrintReleaf said the update strengthens the company’s ability to turn sustainability activity into a customer-facing proposition, by making it easier to connect customer activity with named reforestation projects, documented outcomes, and shareable evidence.
