DocuWare Marks 10,000th Global Cloud Customer

DocuWare, a provider of document-management and workflow-automation solutions and a Ricoh Company, today announced its 10,000th global cloud customer – doubling its cloud customers in just under three years.

A pioneer in the cloud enterprise content management (ECM) area, this growth is said to be a testament to DocuWare’s cloud-based ECM solutions.

With the cloud-computing market projected to be valued at $2.4 billion by 2030, DocuWare says it’s well-positioned as a key player. DocuWare President, Dr. Michael Berger commented, “It is important to us that we provide the best cloud services to our customers. The fact that 10,000 customers have entrusted us with the digital transformation of their business, proves that our product strategy is in line with the market. Ours is a product strategy founded on providing ease of use products and a commitment to great service and innovation.”

The company notes that rising demand for efficient cloud-based ECM solutions reflects the vital role of document and information management in modern businesses. DocuWare has been offering its cloud-based ECM for 12 years, and its cloud revenue grew 47 percent year-over-year in fiscal-year 2023.

Currently, almost 90 percent of new DocuWare customers opt for the cloud over an on-premises deployment. DocuWare Cloud systems are sold in over 100 countries, supported by four global data centers and are available in 24 languages.

DocuWare says cloud-based solutions offer benefits to businesses of all sizes and across many industries. Scalability allows quick adaptation to the size and needs of a business, while there are low-to-no IT infrastructure costs due to removing the need for physical servers. Compliance and security are achieved through built-in backup and disaster recovery features.

The company says it’s also committed to developing new technology solutions and last year announced it will invest an additional €15 million ($16.2 million) over the next two and a half years to secure its position as a leading software company for digital transformation for businesses worldwide.

The company will unveil its product direction at its global DocuWorld Partner conferences in Berlin, Germany; Houston, Texas; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this year.
