Xerox Acquires Canadian IT-Services Provider

Xerox reported today that it’s acquired Powerland, an IT services provider based in Canada, for an undisclosed amount in cash. The firm says the acquisition strengthens its North American IT services offerings, which include cloud, cyber security, end-user computing and managed services.

The acquisition follows Xerox’s October 2021 acquisition of Competitive Computing (C2), an IT-services provider serving the New England region. Xerox’s other IT-services acquisitions include ITEC Connect, which is based in the U.K., and Digitex, an IT services provider in Canada, both of which it acquired in March 2020. According to Techaisle, the global IT services market is sized at more than $680 billion annually.

Powerland serves customers throughout Canada, providing technology solutions and services that include cloud, hybrid cloud, cyber security, and end-user computing solutions.  It recently was awarded Nvidia Partner of the YearDell Marketing Partner of the Year North AmericaHewlett-Packard Enterprise Service Partner of the Year, and Tech Data Circle of Excellence.

Xerox cited recent research showing that small and mid-size businesses will increase their investments in key IT solutions such as cloud infrastructure, managed IT services, collaboration solutions, and cyber security. It says the addition of Powerland will enable it to expand its reach in North America to customers throughout Canada.
