Toshiba Tec to Transfer Toshiba Tec Europe to Joint Venture with Ricoh

Toshiba Tec of Japan today announced that it’s decided to include its Toshiba Tec Europe Imaging Systems business in its Joint Venture (JV) announced with Ricoh Company, also of Japan, that was announced in May. 

Background

In May, Toshiba Tec and Ricoh announced that they would be forming a new venture under which their  printer and MFP manufacturing and development would be combined, with Ricoh owning an 85 percent share of the venture and Toshiba Tec holding the remaining 15 percent. Toshiba America Business Solutions is not included in the venture. 

Now with the inclusion of Toshiba Tec Europe Imaging Systems, Toshiba Tec will transfer all shares of Toshiba Tec Europe Imaging Systems to the venture.

Reason for Inclusion

Toshiba Tec said that it’s including Toshiba Tec Europe Imaging Systems because it falls within the scope of the venture’s of production and development of printers and MFPs. 

Toshiba Tec Europe Imaging Systems is headquartered in France and was established in 1999.
