This Week in Imaging: Brace Yourself for Next Week’s Earnings Reports
Next week, office-imaging vendors will begin releasing their financial results for their latest financial quarter, July through September 2020. Canon Inc., for instance, will release it results on October 26th, while Xerox will release its earnings report on October 27th.
Meanwhile, Epson will post its earnings report on October 29th. HP Inc. and Ricoh will post their earnings much later, on November 24th and November 6th, respectively. Although Sharp Corporation hasn’t officially posted a date, it will also likely post its earnings on November 6th, as should Brother International and Epson.
Most likely, those that have successfully diversified probably stand a better chance of posting more decent results, such as HP Inc. with PCs, Konica Minolta with IT services, Sharp with AV equipment (and now, notebooks via its recent purchase of Toshiba’s laptop division), as well as companies with strong home-printer offerings for work-at-home, including HP, Epson, and Brother.
These earnings reports will tell us who is or isn’t recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, and will be perhaps the most critical earnings reports since those from the 2008 Great Recession. Stay tuned, as we will provide complete and thorough coverage.
