December, 9, 2014 – Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America is launching two new high-volume monochrome MFPs. Sharp rates the new MX-M654N and MX-M754N at up 65 and 75 ppm respectively, and both systems will be available from authorized Sharp dealers and Sharp direct sales.

The MX-M654N and MX-M754N feature Sharp’s latest technology and are designed for large workgroups and departmental environments with demanding workflow requirements. The firm says the new models refine the user experience with Sharp’s 10-inch diagonal tablet-style touch-screen display, which offers a user-friendly tablet-like interface that makes it easy to access features and functions when setting up jobs. The new MFPs also come standard with wireless networking capability for access from mobile devices. This feature enables users to scan or print documents directly to the MFP using Sharpdesk Mobile, a free downloadable app for common mobile devices. Both models are also equipped with the latest version of Sharp OSA technology, which provides expanded integration with network applications and cloud services. The MX-M654N and MX-M754N also support Cloud Portal Office, Sharp’s cloud-based content-management software service for storing and sharing scanned documents and other electronic files.

Document-finishing options include simple document sorting and stapling, as well as multi-folding and booklet making. Sharp also plans to introduce a compact inner finisher in the spring of 2015.

The MX-M654N and MX-M754N also support Sharp’s security features, which include standard 256-bit data encryption and up to 10-times data-overwrite protection. In addition, both models come with an End-of-Lease feature that erases all data, address books, and personal information recorded on the hard drive when the MFP is traded in.
