Pantum Launches BP5100 Elite Series
On August 12th, Pantum introduced its A4 Elite Series, which includes the BP5100 Series (BP5100DN, BP5100DW, and BM5100 Series (BM5100ADN, BM5100ADW, and BM5100FDN/BM5100FDW) laser printers and MFPs.
Pantum is owned by Ninestar Corporation, which is based in Zhuhai, China. Pantum was launched in 2010, and is China’s first Chinese brand for laser printers and MFPs. Pantum printers are notable for a metal frame structure that provides better reliability and more support for printing.
Elite Series
The Elite series is said to be suitable for small and mid-size businesses, large enterprises, and workgroups.
The series is said to be the one of the fastest in Pantum’s current A4 product line, with print speed rated at up to 40 ppm, and first page print out time at less than 6.9 seconds.
Paper handling includes a 250-sheet tray and 60-sheet multi-purpose tray; two optional 550-sheet trays can expand paper capacity to 1,410 pages.
Other features include one-step print-driver installation, Wi-Fi connectivity, Ethernet network interface, mobile printing, duplex printing, and separate drum unit and toner cartridge. Toner cartridges yield up to 3,000 or 6,000 pages, and the imaging drum is good for 30,000 pages.
The BM5100FDN and BM5100FDW also provide copy, scan, and fax, and a 3.5″ touchscreen.
