Novatech Acquires ACT Business Machines in Tennessee

Novatech, a U.S. provider of IT services and managed print, and core portfolio company of Trivest Partners, announced today that it’s acquired ACT Business Machines for an undisclosed sum. ACT Business Systems is a Tennessee-based business technology provider specializing in managed print services, copier/MFPs, printers, IT services, and cloud-based technologies.

For over five decades, ACT Business Machines has provided business technology products and services to the Chattanooga area in Tennessee. The company was founded by Leon Davis in 1962, and then acquired by his son Kent Davis in 1988.

Novatech is one of the largest office-equipment dealers in the United States, with locations across the United States.

Novatech CEO Dan Cooper commented: “The team at ACT Business Machines is truly second to none, and I’m thrilled to have them join our Novatech family. This merger brings together two great companies, creating a true technology powerhouse and managed service provider for the local Chattanooga marketplace.”

ACT Business Machines will take on the Novatech name and branding over the coming weeks.
