New Power PDF 2025.3 from Tungsten Automation Brings Deeper AI Integration and ARM Support

Document workflow-automation provider Tungsten Automation, formerly known as Kofax, has just launched Power PDF 2025.3 for Microsoft Windows, the latest version of its flagship PDF (Portable Document Format) software solution. The new release introduces browser-based editing, deeper Microsoft 365 integration, and full Windows-on-ARM compatibility. Tungsten also says it marks the beginning of its more flexible Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) licensing model.
The company also says this 2025.3 release represents a major step in its evolution toward cloud-connected and AI-assisted document management. Following extensive internal testing, it’s now available globally through Tungsten’s partner and customer channels.
Sales Growth
The company reported that it Power PDF has seen sales growth of more than 12 percent in recent months, reflecting accelerating demand for secure and cost-efficient alternatives to legacy PDF solutions. Tungsten expects continued strong adoption throughout 2026 as organizations expand their digital document modernization initiatives.
“This release represents a turning point for Power PDF,” commented Tamas Hevizi, chief strategy officer at Tungsten Automation. “By bringing editing and collaboration into the browser while maintaining enterprise-grade data control, we’re giving organizations the freedom to work anywhere, without sacrificing security or compliance,” Hevizi said.
Highlights of Power PDF 2025.3 include:
- Cloud Editor – Users can edit and annotate PDFs directly in the browser via a secure cloud interface, enabling real-time collaboration and cross-device access.
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Integration – Share and co-edit files natively within Microsoft 365 work spaces to streamline collaboration.
- Native ARM CPU Support – First in the industry to deliver full Windows-on-ARM compatibility for higher efficiency and extended battery life on modern devices.
- Enhanced Accessibility – Improved tagging tools and full support for PDF/UA and PDF/UA-2 to help organizations meet growing regulatory requirements such as the European Accessibility Act.
- Unified 64-bit Architecture – Standardized across all editions for greater stability and performance with large or complex documents.
- Improved AI Copilot (BYO License) – Allows customers to connect their organization’s own OpenAI or Microsoft Azure API keys to perform secure, AI-assisted tasks such as summarization, redaction, or document explanation, keeping data entirely under local control.
Licensing and Versioning
Starting with this release, Power PDF adopts a calendar-based versioning scheme, replacing the former vX.X format. Major functional updates within a year are now labeled .1, .2, .3 etc., reflecting Tungsten’s quarterly release cadence.
Power PDF 2025.3 also introduces Power PDF Business SaaS, which replaces the former Business Term license. The new subscription model delivers simplified management and access to the latest features, including Cloud Editor and Microsoft Teams integration.
Tungsten Automation is also launching Power PDF Business SaaS on Printix.net, a self-service edition for Managed Service Providers and smaller resellers operating on monthly billing cycles
Availability
