Kyocera Launches New Managed Print Security Service

Kyocera Document Solutions UK has introduced PrintGuardian, which it says is the first dedicated managed detection and response solution designed specifically for modern network-connected office print and copier/MFP fleets. The managed print security service continuously monitors network-connected printers and MFPs through the company’s U.K.-based Security Operations Centre (SOC).The new solution is currently only available in the U.K. through Kyocera and authorized partners

Kyocera notes that as printers increasingly function as intelligent network endpoints, PrintGuardian helps protect against unauthorized access, firmware attacks, credential theft, and other threats targeting document workflows.

PrintGuardian provides continuous monitoring of print devices, identifies vulnerabilities, detects suspicious activity, and helps IT teams strengthen endpoint security across mixed printer fleets. Security events are analyzed by specialists operating within Kyocera’s AI-powered Security Operations Centre. The platform is designed to integrate with existing cybersecurity operations, giving organizations greater visibility into print infrastructure while supporting compliance, risk management, and zero-trust security initiatives.

The launch complements Kyocera’s broader cybersecurity strategy by extending protection beyond hardware to include proactive monitoring, threat detection, and security management services.

Kyocera says the solution also creates new opportunities for managed print providers and managed service providers to deliver recurring security services by incorporating print infrastructure into broader endpoint security and managed detection offerings.
