KDI Office Technology Acquires Document-Management Company ImageNet

KDI Office Technology announced on July 6th that it had acquired ImageNet, a provider of electronic-content management solutions in the Philadelphia market, including solutions for managing, archiving, storing, securing, and maintaining digital documents.

KDI says it’s the fastest growing, independent office technology provider in the mid-Atlantic region in the United States. It provides managed print and managed IT Services, document-management, and IT-technology services, as well as Canon, Ricoh, and Lexmark copier/MFPs and printers; Canon and Ricoh production printers; Fujitsu, Canon, and Epson document scanners; IT software and hardware; and phone systems.

“As we welcome the ImageNet brand into the KDI family, we believe their expertise with document management solutions will greatly contribute and expand the depth of our current product offerings,” commented Rick Salcedo, KDI president and CEO. The acquisition supports KDI’s business growth to their existing and future customer base. This an exciting time for KDI as this acquisition elevates our company into the true market of office automation. We’re no longer just a copier company.”

KDI will offer all of ImageNet’s capabilities, providing an even deeper range of services.

“From government agencies to financial, insurance, and medical markets, our team’s experience in working with several industries is a nice fit with KDI,” commented Leighton Forbes, ImageNet President. ImageNet employees will continue with the organization and operate out of their existing Malvern, Pennsylvania, office. Forbes will join the KDI organization as well as sales director for Managed Services.“
