HP Previews New LaserJet Portfolio with Quantum-Resistant Security and Embedded AI for Print and Scan

HP inc. today previewed its new next-generation HP LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series and HP LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 Series of A4 copier/MFPs and printers, which it says are designed to help businesses bridge paper and digital workflows, strengthen security, simplify printer management, and support hybrid work teams.
Of note is that HP is embedding AI directly into print and scan workflows to improve accuracy, speed, and document quality, without, it says, adding complexity for users or IT teams. With HP AI, users can automatically optimize page formatting, document naming, and document file organization, while enterprise devices add advanced capabilities like AI‑enhanced OCR and Guided Redaction. These AI features are designed to remove manual steps from document handling and help teams digitize information faster and more securely.
Anneliese Olson, president of HP Imaging, Printing, and Solutions, commented, “With our new LaserJet portfolio, we’re advancing secure, AI-powered printing to better connect the physical and digital sides of work, make document management easier, and give teams the reliable tools they need to stay productive.”
HP LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series
The LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 series is designed for SMBs with limited IT support.
HP notes that small businesses and enterprises alike face rising pressure to update printing and document management. Its research highlights the urgency: 78 percent of SMBs struggle to manage hardware and supplies; 80 percent plan to adopt or expand print-related software to streamline operations; and 70 percent expect to shift IT budgets toward AI by 2027.
This new monochrome printer/MFP series is said to be simple to set up, cost-efficient to run, easy to manage, and built with security features to help protect against evolving threats, whether employees are working in the office or remotely.
Key features include:
Productivity
The HP LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series is said to be HP’s most productive monochrome printer/MFPs in the SMB Laser portfolio. It offers the fastest automatic two‑sided printing in its class, easy setup, and Wi‑Fi 6 with self‑reset for reliable connectivity.
Security and Sustainability
- HP says this is the world’s first SMB printer with quantum-resistant protection. This refers to cryptographic algorithms designed to remain secure against attacks from future, highly powerful quantum computing – such quantum computing is said to use quantum mechanics to break classic public-key encryption.
- There’s also tamper‑resistant toner chips, firmware, and packaging. And, HP offers streamlined security compliance and device management across the entire printer fleet with optional HP Security Manager.
- There’s also up to 25 percent lower print costs than the previous generation through HP’s most efficient TerraJet Toner technology ever, which is also backed by a three-year warranty. HP’s next-generation TerraJet Toner is engineered for low-energy printing and enables 11 percent more printed pages using less toner in a smaller cartridge.
- EPEAT Gold, Energy Star, and and Blue Angel certification.
Smart Workflow Solutions
This new LaserJet series is said to be a smart print hub that simplifies setup and printer management, reducing the number of steps and making ongoing management easier without a dedicated IT team.
It also uses HP AI to optimize document formatting, enhance image quality, and automate naming and sharing, eliminating manual rework and accelerating workflows.
HP LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 Series for Enterprises

HP LaserJet Enterprise 6600
The new LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series is designed for managed SMBs, self‑managed enterprises, and public sector organizations, and for large teams that rely on fast printing and dependable document digitization. With the advanced HP AI capabilities, advanced security, and high‑speed performance, it’s said to be the ultimate A4 enterprise monochrome printer/MFP.
Features include:
- Automatic two-sided scanning up to 200 ipm and print speeds up to 57 ppm.
- HP FutureSmart firmware that helps keep printer fleets up to date with new and emerging capabilities.
- Optional HP Smart Device Services that can monitor devices and help resolve issues before they disrupt work. Additionally, HP says 90 percent of the printer’s serviceable parts can be replaced in under eight minutes.
- The LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 is resistant against Quantum-computing attacks, and powered by HP Wolf Enterprise Security with up to 80-percent lower risk in cyberattack exposure.
- EPEAT Gold, Energy Star, and Blue Angel certification.
- Next-generation HP Monochrome TerraJet Toner contains 30 percent recycled plastic content supporting circular design and reducing reliance on new materials.
The new models’ Smart Workflow Solutions (HP AI) include:
- Faster document processing with HP Scan AI Enhanced and Editable OCR to help turn large stacks of paperwork into searchable, editable files in seconds, reducing manual processing time by up to 50 percent.
- Automated Guided Redaction detects and removes sensitive information, such as personal data or financial details, helping organizations support compliance requirements without adding extra review steps for IT.
- Access to HP for Microsoft 365 Copilot through an HP Workpath app subscription installs Copilot’s AI tools directly on HP MFP control panels, helping employees summarize, name, translate, and organize document files in cloud drives.
This series consists of the following configuration:
- HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X6257dn, MFP X52952dn, MFP X52952dn, MFP X53052dn/z – Monochrome A4 MFPs with print, copy, scan, and optional fax, rated at up to 57 ppm.
- HP LaserJet Enterprise X50452, X5032dn, X50452dn – Monochrome standalone printers rated at up to 52 ppm, with some configurations featuring standard automatic duplexing, etc.
- HP LaserJet Enterprise X60357dn, X60257dn – Standalone monochrome printers rated at up to 57 ppm.
