Fujifilm Business Innovation Launches Next-Gen Color A3 MFP

On October 26th, Fujifilm Business Innovation Asia Pacific launched the Apeos C2450 S, a new compact A3 color MFP for small businesses. Sales will began October 26th in the Asia-Pacific region.

Said to be the lightest (51 kg) A3 color MFP in the Fujifilm Apeos series, the Apeos C2450 S is equipped with print, copy, scan and optional fax, and is said to feature improved print, copy, sleep-mode recovery, and Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) scanning speed as compared to the previous model, the DocuCentre SC2022.

Enhanced User Interface

The Apeos C2450 S also features an enhanced user interface (UI) with its new 7″ color touchscreen, which enables users to customize display icons for easy operation. Users can now also register frequently used operations such as print and scan to their PINs. They can also preview, enlarge, and confirm the scanned image using the preview function on the touchscreen, as well as print files and photos from mobile devices via Fujilfilm’s Print Utility application.

Security

For added security, the printer is equipeed with the IC Card Reader that provides user authentication. With it, users are required to authenticate themselves using their IC Card. Each department can also control and monitor employees’ usage of the printer by presetting print guidelines for employees. For example, they can limit the number of prints allowed and specify print settings such as monochrome.

Main features of the Apeos C2450 S include:

  • Rated at up to 24 ppm in both color and monochrome.
  • Print resolution of 1,200 x 2,400 dpi.
  • Standard Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) equipped as standard, and standard automatic duplex printing as standard
  • Wireless LAN connectivity in WPA,
  • Near Field Communication (NFC) connectivity. 
  • USB port.
  • Private Charge Print and authentication by IC Card Reader prevents data breaches.
  • ID Card Scan feature enables scanning both sides of an ID card and save to a shared folder on the computer or to an FTP server.
