Fujifilm Business Innovation Expands A4 Lineup with Six New Models

Fujifilm Business Innovation Asia Pacific today launched four new A4 color laser MFPs, and two new A4 color laser printer, as part of its Apeos and ApeosPrint product families.

With their compact size, the new models can be used in stores, counters, and other locations where space is limited. Sales will begin from February 13th in the Asia Pacific region, and Fujifilm says the new models provide the same operability and major functions as its A3 MFPs. 

Fast Boot Mode

Equipped with the newly introduced Fast Boot Mode technology, users can use the devices within seven seconds after powering them on, and the control panel can be activated within one second from low power mode. Printing is also enabled almost simultaneously, making the new models appropriate for users who have customers waiting for  printouts at receptions or counter operations.

Other Features

Scanned data can be converted into PDF format with OCR (optical character recognition) processing, allowing for easy searching and editing of Microsoft Excel and Word documents. Users can also print from anywhere with Universal Print by Microsoft, a cloud-based print solution that eliminates the need for print servers and printer-driver installation.

Security

Fujifilm Business Innovation says it’s continuously improving and expanding its security functions to counter today’s increasingly diverse and sophisticated security threats. The new models are bolstered with newly added security capabilities to ensure online security and to prevent leakage of stored data. The new security capabilities include: 

  • Compliant with the U.S. security standards NIST SP800-171.
  • Compatible with the new WPA3 protocol with robust security for wireless LANs.
  • Uses the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0 security chip, which conforms to the latest encryption regulations from the Trusted Computing Group (TCG), an organization responsible for international security standards.
  • Provides improved program diagnostics when starting up the device.

Main features of the new Apeos C4030/Apeos C3530 and Apeos 5330/Apeos 4830 include:

  • Apeos C4030: Color MFP rated at up to 40 ppm in color/monochrome. 
  • Apeos C3530: Color MFP rated at up to 35 ppm in color/monochrome 
  • Apeos 5330: Monochrome MFP rated at up to 53 ppm. 
  • Apeos 4830: Monochrome MFP rated at up to 48 ppm. 
  • All units provide a 100-page automatic duplex document feeder with one-pass duplex scanning.

The other two new models consist of standalone printers: the ApeosPrint C4030 is a color printer rated at up to 40 ppm in color/monochrome, while the ApeosPrint 5330 is a monochrome printer rated at up to 53 ppm.
