Fujfilm Expands A3 Color Copier/MFP Lineup with New Models
Fujifilm Business Innovation Asia Pacific today launched three Apeos A3 color MFPs, which it says will further strengthen its 21-year leadership position in the A3 Color Laser MFP Asia-Pacific market, according to the latest IDC research (the Asia-Pacific market includes Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong).
Among the new models is the flagship Apeos C7071 series, which Fujifilm says redefines the A3 color MFP and is for enterprise use, while the Apeos C3567 series and Apeos C3061 series are compact devices for small and mid-size businesses.
All three models support print-from and scan-to cloud-based document-repository services, including FUJIFILM IWpro, and also support document management and accounting systems. Other features include:
- Automatic file naming and sorting when importing scanned or faxed data.
- Compatible with these cloud services: Kintone, DocuSign eSignature, Box, Microsoft 365 (OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams), Google Drive, Dropbox, Salesforce, ABBYY, DOKMEE, Esker, KOFAX, M-Files, and UiPath.
Apeos C7071 series:
The flagship Apeos C7071 series is rated at up to 70 ppm, with scanning at up to 270 ppm with single-pass duplex auto scanning.
Mid- and lower-speed configurations, such as the Apeos C5571, are equipped with a scanner that can automatically scan multiple business cards or receipt-sized papers in succession, in addition to automatic single-pass duplex scanning at up to 160 ppm.
The Apeos C7071 series also supports various document-finishing, such as staple-free stapling, Z-fold half sheets, and Tri-fold.
Apeos C3567 Series and C3061 Series
The Apeos C3567 series and C3061 series are more compact models and are designed for for small and mid-size businesses.
By redesigning the bypass tray and paper-transport path, Fujfiilm says the width of the main unit has been reduced by 13 mm compared to previous models, resulting in a more compact machine that can be installed in small offices. Paper handling has also been enhanced, supporting thin 52 gsm paper to thick 300 gsm paper, as well as long 297 x 1,200 mm paper for in-house production.
By adopting a new, industry-leading low-temperature fusing toner, Fujifilm has also further reduced the fusing temperature by 15°C compared to toners used in previous series, reducing power consumption. The company notes that the process of fusing toner to paper is the most power-consuming process in MFPs and printers, but the use of a new toner and other features have reduced Total Energy Consumption (TEC) and warm-up times.
Additionally, Fujifilm has redesigned the shape and structure of parts with future recycling in mind, with a new product design introduced for easier disassembly, cleaning, and sorting/
Apeos C3567 Series
This series features a 10.1″ operation panel comparable to that of higher-end models, and a scanner with 160 ppm single-pass duplex scanning.
Two applications are installed as standard: Scan Delivery Light, which improves the efficiency of frequently used scanning operations, and Paperless Fax Delivery, which is designed for digitizing, automatically sorting, and forwarding documents received via fax. Furthermore, one-touch operation can be used for various tasks, such as setting the scanning method, specifying the data storage location, and renaming files.
Apeos C3061 Series
The Apeos C3061 Series are compact models that can be flexibly configured. Print, copy, and scan are standard, and a wide range of paper types are supported, along with a more compact main unit compared to the previous series.
The series allows customers to choose from a total of four paper-tray configurations, from one-tray to four-tray. With the addition of the newly developed Finisher-A3, customers can have two-way output in the main unit.
Other Notable Features
All models feature a Remote Operation Panel, which can be accepted remotely via PC, enabling administrators to monitor and configure (adjust settings) remotely.
There’s also third-party certification under ISO/IEC 20243, which is the supply chain security standard for ensuring product safety throughout the product life cycle.
Also of note is a notification light helps indicates that the scanned document or printed paper should be collected. A multiple feed detection function prevents multiple pages from being loaded on top of one another in the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder.
The Apeos C7071 series supports up to a 5,200-sheet paper capacity, while other models support a 4,170-sheet paper capacity.
