Epson Launches New EcoTank Pro Models, Free Ink for Two Years Program

On March 27th, Epson America five new EcoTank Pro cartridge-free color inkjet printers.

Calling them a  “breakthrough for the Supertank category,” the models are designed for small businesses, home offices, and workgroups. The new EcoTank Pro Series offers business savings up to 80 percent with low-cost replacement ink bottles versus. standard capacity color laser toner cartridges and leverages Epson PrecisionCore Heat-Free Techn”ology to provide  fast, consistent, heavy-duty performance and print-shop-quality output.

Epson also expanded the current EcoTank portfolio with the announcement of the EcoTank ET-15000 all-in-one, which is designed for SOHO printing on up to 13” x 19” media.

Epson says its EcoTank Pro wireless all-in-one printers offer fast cartridge-free printing with easy-to-fill super-size ink ink tanks, with an ISO cost per page of about 2 cents compared to 14 cents per page for standard-size color laser toner cartridges

The new models are said to feature no warmup time, and are rated at up to ISO 25 ppm (black). They use Epson’s DURABrite pigment inks. Other features include two 250-sheet paper trays and rear specialty-paper feed, plus a 4.3″ color touchscreen and hands-free voice-activated printing.

The EcoTank Pro ET-5800 ($799.99 MSRP), EcoTank Pro ET-5850 ($849.99 MSRP), EcoTank Pro ET-5880 ($899.99 MSRP), EcoTank Pro ET-16600 ($999.99 MSRP), EcoTank Pro ET-16650 ($1129.99 MSRP), and EcoTank ET-15000 ($599.99 MSRP) are now available through major computer, office and electronic retailers, and on the Epson store (www.epsonstore.com).

Two Years of Unlimited Ink

Epson also introduced an Unlimited Ink for Two Years Program for EcoTank Pro models, underwhich customers who purchase and register an EcoTank Pro Series printer are eligible to receive reimbursement for replacement ink bottles.

Under the program, customers purchase an EcoTank Pro ET-5800,
ET-5850, ET-5880, ET-16600 or ET-16650 from 3/26/2020 to 3/31/2021, and then register their product within 30 days of purchase. Customers then purchase “qualifying ink bottles within two years” of purchasing their printer. Last, customers mail to Epson their ink-supply purchase receipts, printer usage history report, empty ink bottle(s), and claim form to Epson within two years of registration in order to receive reimbursement.
