Epson Introduces its Lowest-Priced Refillable Inkjet Model To Date

Epson America – which says it’s the global leader in refillable inkjet printers – announced today that it’s expanding its EcoTank line of cartridge-free printing solutions to include its most affordable EcoTank model to date, the new EcoTank ET-2400 All-in-One Supertank All-in-One ($249 MSRP).

The new color inkjet will be sold exclusively through Target and Walmart this holiday season, and is designed for easy, everyday home printing at a lower price point, and also features a two-year warranty.

Epson says the EcoTank ET-2400 allows users to save up to 90 percent on ink with replacement ink bottles versus ink cartridges – enough to print thousands of pages, and equivalent to about 90 individual ink cartridges. The EcoTank ET-2400 comes with up to two years worth of ink in the box. There are four replacement EcoFit ink bottles; black is rated to yield up to 4,500 pages, while each cyan, magenta, and yellow bottle is rated to yield up to 7,500 pages.  Each ink bottle is priced at $13.99.

The ET-2400 provides print, copy, and scan, and uses Epson’s Micro Piezo Heat Free inkjet-printing. It provides wireless connectivity and hands-free voice-activated printing, and is rated at up to 10 (black)/5 (color) ppm.

Also included is the Epson Smart Panel app, which provides mobile printing from iOS and Android mobile devices. The app also enables mobile-device users to  set up, monitor, print, scan, order supplies, access troubleshooting tips, and more. Users can create holiday wrapping gift bags, a mini card pocket to stick to paper bags, notebooks, and more with a personalized message card, and print colorful design paper.
