DocuWare Reports Strong Growth for 2024

DocuWare, a provider of document management, enterprise content management, and workflow automation solutions, today reported that it saw continued growth in global revenues and customer numbers in fiscal-year 2024 (FY24). DocuWare is a Ricoh company that Ricoh acquired in 2019.

Overall Growth and Continued Cloud Adoption

The company said FY24 was a year of significant growth for it. Revenue for cloud-based solutions increased 25 percent year-over-year (YOY), with global revenue growing at 16 percent YOY, despite political and economic uncertainties. DocuWare says it continues to invest in both its cloud and on-premises offerings, ensuring consistent experience and driving steady growth across both platforms.

The company also said the number of its customers surged, with over 3,000 new customers joining worldwide. Approximately 2,800 of these new customers chose the company’s cloud-based solutions, demonstrating the clear preference for flexible and scalable cloud-based enterprise content management (ECM). DocuWare now serves well over 20,000 customers globally.

DocuWare CEO Dr. Michael Berger commented, “Our exceptional FY24 performance validates our vision, our product strength, and our commitment to innovation in the ECM space. We’ve anticipated the market’s evolving needs, and we’ve invested strategically to deliver cutting-edge technology that empowers businesses to thrive.”

Commitment to Innovation

The company says that forward-thinking solutions like DocuWare Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), which DocuWare launched last year, set a new standard for automating the classification, extraction, and interpretation of data from all types of documents, from complex, unstructured data, and low-quality scans, to even handwritten notes.

DocuWare IDP is offered as a standalone product. It’s used to automate key document workflow tasks, including document splitting and cropping, text recognition, and data extraction from  documents like invoices, purchase orders, ID cards, and contracts, reducing manual intervention.

According to DocuWare’s Berger, Docuware will continue to focus on its AI technology-based product advances such as Intelligent Document Processing (DocuWare IDP) and offering the best, most secure e-invoicing solutions, adding “In addition to this, as mentioned in our recent DocuWorld Conferences, our product plans include projects that will bring real value to our users’ daily work, such as workflow optimization and our new Workflow Designer.”
