DEX Imaging Acquires Kyocera Dealer

DEX Imaging, has acquired Gulf Business Systems of Sarasota, Florida, for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1972 and later acquired by President Martin Hyde in 1997, GBS is a single-line Kyocera dealership that’s served Southwest Florida for over 50 years.

DEX Imaging, which was founded in 2002 and acquired by Staples in 2019, is based in Tampa, Florida, and provides document-imaging equipment, workflow processes, data archiving, and data-disaster recovery.

DEX Imaging’s CEO, Dan Doyle Jr, said, “The acquisition of GBS delivers a seamless expansion for us in Sarasota, where we have had a strong market presence since 2005. GBS customers will now not only reap the benefits provided by DEX Imaging’s talented service teams, but will also have the advantage of choosing from a wider variety of best-in-class products and software solutions.”

GBS staff will become a part of the  DEX Imaging staff.
