Contex Expands the IQ Quattro Family with New 36-inch Wide-Format Scanner
Today Contex launched the IQ Quattro 3600 wide-format document scanner for firms whose applications include scanning technical documents up to 36-inches wide and unlimited length. The new introduction slots into the existing Quattro line that includes the 24-in Quattro 2490 and the 44-inch Quattro 4490 wide-format scanner models. The 3600 is immediately available from distributors globally.
The represents the fourth generation CIS scanner from Contex, which claims that its 14 ips color scanning with Sigma and Color Fringe Removal is faster than any other wide-format scanner. The IQ Quattro can scan A0/E size documents in 3.5 seconds with a 1-second start time. The IQ Quattro 3600 replaces the SD 36 scanner and features full network capabilities and cloud connectivity, which Contex claims is a market first.
The IQ Quattro scanner line is also equipped with Contex CleanScan CIS modules that provides optimal scan quality through the use of a two-sided LED lighting that helps minimize the presence of wrinkles and folds in originals. The line also uses the Nextimage professional suite of software products and supports the Contex rainforest365 app that allows users to operate the scanners securely with their smart devices, and can be equipped with a 21.5″ ScanStation touchscreen.
